MEET PAUL CEE – FROM LOOSE CHANGE TO GLOBAL GOLD

With over 26 years of detecting experience, Paul Cee has spent much of his time searching coastlines across the UK, particularly along a river estuary steeped in history. Romans, Vikings and even wartime armies once moved through these shores, making every hunt an opportunity to uncover far more than modern finds.

His detecting journey began in an unlikely way, helping an old girlfriend’s father collect TV rental payments, followed by quick hunts in local parks for loose change and jewellery. But living near the coast, Paul soon discovered that beach detecting offered something different.

“There is nothing quite like the sound of a sweet tone over the roar of the waves - waiting for that glint of gold in the scoop.”

Over the years, that passion has taken him from British beaches to Australian goldfields, proving that curiosity, persistence and experience can lead anywhere.
